PRIVACY
Your moments
are yours.
AboutToday is designed to be personal without needing to know who you are. The app, website and Photo Booth work differently, so this page explains what happens with information in each.

The app stays personal.
You do not need to create an AboutToday account, sign in, provide your name, provide your age or give AboutToday personal details to use the app.
The reflections, activities and other information you choose to record in AboutToday are stored locally on your device. AboutToday does not upload this information to its own servers and does not maintain a database of your personal reflection history.
AboutToday cannot view the reflections or personal information you record inside the app.
Your Apple device may allow app information to be included in device backups or iCloud backups depending on the settings you choose.
Those backup services are provided by Apple rather than AboutToday and are controlled through your Apple account and device settings.
AboutToday does not currently include third-party advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
02
Subscriptions stay with Apple.
If you choose to subscribe to AboutToday, the purchase is made through Apple's App Store and in-app purchase system.
AboutToday does not directly collect or store your credit card, debit card or other payment card details.
Apple manages the purchase and subscription through your Apple account.
AboutToday receives the subscription information made available through Apple that is needed to recognise whether access to the subscription is active.
03
The website.
You can browse the public AboutToday website without creating an account or providing personal information to AboutToday.
The website uses third-party infrastructure to operate and deliver its pages. Those providers may process limited technical information necessary to provide, secure and maintain the website.
AboutToday does not currently use third-party advertising or behavioural tracking on the website.
If this changes in the future, this privacy page will be updated to explain the change.
04
The Photo Booth is temporary.
When you choose to use the AboutToday Photo Booth, the booth captures photographs and temporarily stores them so they can be processed and delivered to you.
Each session creates a unique online gallery that can be opened using the QR code displayed at the end of the session.
Photo Booth photographs are temporarily stored on the photo delivery server for up to 24 hours. They are routinely cleared after this period.
Individual Photo Booth galleries are not included in AboutToday's public sitemap, and compliant search-engine crawlers are instructed not to crawl the gallery area of the website.
A unique link is not the same as a password. Anyone who receives your QR code or gallery link may be able to open the gallery while it remains available.
During operation, copies of photographs may also be temporarily kept on the booth computer and camera storage as a backup in case photo delivery fails.
These copies are temporary operational backups and are not intended to form a permanent AboutToday photo archive. They are routinely cleared.
05
Your photos are for you.
AboutToday does not claim ownership of your Photo Booth photographs simply because you used the booth.
Once you download your photographs, you may keep, share, post, print or edit them as you choose.
AboutToday does not take photographs from private galleries and publish them as AboutToday marketing or promotional content simply because someone used the booth.
If you choose to publicly post your own photographs and tag or mention AboutToday, that content may be visible through the relevant platform's public tags, mentions or similar features.
If AboutToday wants to deliberately feature a person's photograph in its own promotional or marketing content, separate permission will be sought.
06
A tool for your own reflection.
AboutToday is designed as a personal self-reflection tool. There is no required way to use it.
You can use AboutToday to notice your day, reflect on experiences and consider how different moments may have affected you.
What you choose to record, how often you use the app and how you interpret your own information is up to you.
AboutToday does not provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment, therapy, emergency assistance or crisis support.
It is not intended to replace professional care where professional care is needed.
